Baker's Chronology
Baker's Chronology is a daily diary of events in the Malton and Norton district and was compiled by George Brown (can anybody tell me who he was?).  Thomas Baker was a printer and publisher of Norton.  These can be used to pinpoint newspaper coverage for further research.  There are rumoured to be 3 editions of Baker's Chronology:

Can anybody confirm this?  There can't be many towns where an individual has had the foresight to keep and publish such a diary.  Certainly copies of the 1869 -1898 edition can occasionally be found at specialist bookshops
